Job description
We’re seeking a Field Application Engineer with hands-on experience in robotics and automation for industrial surface processes—including grinding, sanding, polishing, and finishing. This role bridges technology and real-world manufacturing, helping our customers transform manual surface treatment operations into efficient, automated systems with a cutting-edge proprietary technology for autonomous robotics.
You’ll partner directly with end users, internal full stack engineering teams, and business development teams to evaluate customer applications, define technical approaches, and develop automated process solutions using our advanced multi-tool robotic platform.
Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site application evaluations with business development to understand customer challenges and identify automation opportunities.
Develop and optimize robotic process solutions for surface finishing applications — including abrasive selection, sequencing, and multi-tool integration.
Collaborate with business development to align technical solutions with customer objectives.
Communicate confidently with operators, engineers, and executive leadership across diverse industrial sectors.
Support system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting both in-house and at customer facilities.
Document and present findings, process data, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain an active feedback loop with engineering, R&D, and commercial teams to continuously improve system performance and usability.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Robotic/Automation or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience). Master’s degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in robotics and automation — ideally within grinding, sanding, polishing, deburring, or related surface treatment applications.
Familiarity with robotic integration, toolpath programming, and process optimization for industrial automation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable interfacing with shop floor operators and senior leadership alike.
Ability to travel up to 35% (domestic, occasional international).
Must be a proactive, collaborative problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, technical environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Positive energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
A team-oriented mindset with a passion for applied innovation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity for process improvement.
Driven by hands-on technical challenges and customer success.

Job description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Robotic Autonomy Engineer with a strong software development foundation to join our growing team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy autonomy solutions that scale across diverse industrial processes and robotic configurations.
This is a highly technical and demanding position requiring the ability to conduct and translate cutting-edge research into robust, production-ready systems. The role sits at the intersection of robotics research and high-quality software engineering—balancing algorithmic innovation with disciplined engineering execution.
You will collaborate closely with product, systems, hardware, and software teams to integrate advanced autonomy capabilities into our robotic platforms. Your work will directly impact real-world deployments, ensuring our systems are reliable, scalable, and capable of solving complex industrial challenges.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable autonomy solutions across multiple robotic platforms, solving complex, real-world industrial challenges.
Partner with cross-functional teams—including systems, hardware, and software engineers—to ensure seamless integration between autonomy software and physical robotic systems.
Write production-grade code that meets high standards for reliability and maintainability, including comprehensive unit testing, simulation validation, and field testing.
Develop and implement advanced algorithms in areas such as multi-robot task allocation, high-dimensional planning and control, combinatorial optimization, motion planning, and adaptive process control.
Drive system robustness through rigorous testing, validation, and continuous performance improvement in deployed environments.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience developing complex software systems, with a focus on robotics, AI/ML, automation, or related technologies as applied to real-world systems (beyond simulation)
MS or PhD in robotics or a related field
Deep expertise in C++, including extensive experience building and maintaining large-scale software systems using modern architecture and design patterns.
Strong foundation in mathematics, algorithms, and analytical problem-solving, with the ability to translate theory into production-grade implementations.
